Create a Google Group Chat/Meeting
A Google chat room can be created to discuss things with team members instantly. Google Chat can be accessed via the application or on a web browser.
To create a chat room :
1. Open the Google Chat application or web version on your browser then click on the search bar located on the top left of your screen. Select Create room from the dropdown menu
2. Name the room and then click Create
3. Click on Add people & bots and then search for the team members @luu email. Click on the email from the reults to add them. You can also chose to notify the team member that they have been added into the group by selecting the option
4. Once all the desired people have been selected, click Send. The group chat should now be created, click on New Thread in ... to begin chatting.
5. To begin a video call between team members, click on the video meeting button. A meeting link will appear in your text box, hit the send button or enter key to send the request into the group chat. Users can now simply click on the video meeting icon and a new tab will appear in their browser where they can begin the video meeting.
6. The web browser will prompt you to allow notifications and access to your camera and microphone, click Allow
7. Google will notify you if there's anyone on the video call with you under Ready to join? Once you're ready click on Join now and you can begin your video meeting
Make sure your microphone/camera is toggled on so the other members can hear/see you.
