Keyboard is not typing/responding
If your keyboard is not responding when pressing a key and you have checked any cables that may have come loose, try holding down a key for several seconds: if it eventually registers the key press, then it is likely that the FilterKeys accessibility function has been enabled.
By default, FilterKeys is turned on by holding down the right shift key on the keyboard for around eight seconds.
When the feature is enabled, you will see a small stopwatch icon on your system tray (usually in the bottom right of the screen, by the clock). You can access the FilterKeys settings by double clicking this icon (as shown below) and un-checking the box for using FilterKeys. If your keyboard is still not responding after having checked this, please let IT know by putting in a ticket here.
